Dating a foreigner. A good idea or not? Some of the benefits were covered in our last post yesterday. It a nutshell, Eastern European girls are beautiful, very beautiful, stunning, need I go on! You owe it to yourself to at least experience one. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed, but I warn you, once you have sampled you may never want to go back. They generally know how to look after their bodies and sure know what to do with them.

Eastern European women respect their fathers and often seek to find a man like their father. This means they are generally seeking an older man, so this is a chance to grab yourself a much younger wife and really be the envy of all your mates. Sure you will often be the butt of the usual jokes about her age, but every single one of those mates making these jokes will be envious of you and wish to hell it was them. Trust me there is nothing like a beautiful woman half your age clinging to your arm to make you feel on top of the world and see the looks of envy in the eyes of other men as you walk down the street. Not to mention the amazing sex from a young nubile woman with very few inhibitions about her wonderful body and about sex in general. It will do wonders for your self esteem and really make you feel half your age again.

Now some of the pitfalls of dating a foreigner. The number one pitfall will be , if things get serious, and believe me there is a very good chance you will quickly fall in love with one of these beauties, is where you are going to live. If you are going to live in your country then you probably need to organize some form of visa to allow her to stay in your country for any longer than an extended holiday unless of course you are both in the EU. For somewhere like Australia or New Zealand for example you will need to seek permanent residency. This is quite reasonably priced if you arrange it yourselves and is generally quite straight forward. The information, in fact the whole manual they use is available on the immigration website and you apply under the partner policy. Don’t bother using an immigration consultant as really with a bit of research you can easily do it all yourselves and save a bundle.

They will check that you are in fact a couple to weed out the scams for money applicants where someone is paid to marry an immigrant purely to get them their residency. So you will need to be genuine and be able to answer reasonable questions about each other. It is a good idea to be prepared as soon as you can see this relationship might be going somewhere as the longer the history the easier it will be to prove this is a genuine relationship. Photos are important showing you two together, and very easy and painless. You may even be doing this already but if not start now. Heaps of them everywhere. All situations showing you two together, with friends, anything. Digital photos are excellent because not only do they cost nothing, they show the date and time taken and more and more cameras also show location in the file. Any photo taken on an iphone will have the GPS coordinates stamped along with date and time as further proof.

Immigration also look for things like shared bills and a joint bank account. Sometimes of course a shared bank account can be a big problem in any relationship and not just because you are dating a foreigner as we all know, but they don’t seem too concerned at what you do with the bank account as long as both your names appear on one, so suggest you just setup a joint account that you use for something- maybe the rent, power etc but still have your separate accounts as usual. You just need to show you have one account in both your names and for the longer the better. They also look for shared bills so make sure if you are renting that you have both names on the lease, make sure the power bill is in both names. Same with the phone is anyone still bothers to have a landline these days except for internet access, so have this in joint names. The more bills in joint names the better and keep  them.

They like to see real evidence of a real relationship so print out the odd email between you two or anything which mentions you to her family or friends and vice versa.

In short if you are dating a foreigner the more information you have that you are in a real relationship the better the chances of a visa being approved. Its not something you would generally think of to do so start collecting some as soon as you see the relationship is getting serious and may lead somewhere. No harm done if it doesn’t pan out, just biff it and move on.
